Summary

Supervises Ambulance Services section and participates in the administration of emergency medical services to patients under the care and responsibility of the Hospital.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

1. Accountable for the complete operation of Ambulance Services and ensure the proper level of patient care.

2. Collaborates with the Manager, ensures appropriate policies, protocols and operational performance are in place to deliver a safe and high quality patient care.

3. Ensures that equipment is properly maintained and operated. Ensures the safe work practices are followed. Ensures that all requires supplies and materials are present.

4. Accountable for the safety and well-being of staff members within area of responsibility, ensuring risks relating to staff, vehicles, and equipment are properly identified and appropriate action is taken.

5. Prepares call volume reports, requests for proposals, and projects under the direction of the manager.

6. Assesses emergency situations to determine the best course of action and appropriate protocol.

7. Responsible for the enforcement of all Personnel policies, and the handling of disciplinary problems as required

8. Participates in self and other's education, training and development, as applicable.

9. Follows all hospital related policies and procedures.

10. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education

Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency medical Services or other related discipline is required.

Experience Required

*Grade 10:

Four (4) years of related experience with Master’s or six (6) years with Bachelor’s Degree is required.

*Grade 11:

-Average of annual performance appraisal at least (3.5) for the last four (4) years.

-One hundred (100) hours of cumulative continued medical education [CME].

Other Requirements(Certificates)

*Current Registration from country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is required.

*The following qualifications: BLS, ACLS,PALS, NRP and PHTLS are required.

*Bilingual skills [Arabic and English] and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

*Computer proficiency is essential.
