Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Safety Officer role based in Dammam. The Safety Officer will oversee daily health, safety, and environmental (HSE) activities across the company’s industrial facilities, ensuring compliance with local regulations and internal policies. Responsibilities include conducting regular site inspections, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented. The role involves leading incident and accident investigations, preparing reports, and recommending preventive measures. The Safety Officer will develop and deliver safety training, coordinate emergency preparedness and drills, support security-related procedures, and collaborate with operations, maintenance, and management to promote a strong safety culture. The position also requires maintaining up-to-date safety documentation, participating in audits, and continuously identifying opportunities to improve safety performance.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and practical experience in Health & Safety, including applicable regulations, standards, and best practices in an industrial or chemical manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Accident Investigation, incident reporting, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Experience in Safety Training, including developing training materials, conducting toolbox talks, and delivering HSE programs to diverse teams.
• Familiarity with site Security procedures, access control, and coordination with relevant internal and external stakeholders as part of overall HSE management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
• Relevant HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) are highly preferred.
• Experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, or chemical manufacturing operations is an advantage.
• Strong communication and reporting skills, with the ability to influence and engage staff at all levels in safe work practices.
