Nurse Sales/Product Specialist with an Operating Room (OR) Nurse certification acts as a critical clinical and commercial liaison for Surgical Sutures, Surgical Instruments & Urology Surgical Devices. They drive revenue and product adoption by leveraging their nursing expertise to educate surgical teams, assist in the OR, and sell advanced wound closure portfolios to hospitals.

Core Responsibilities

• Clinical & Technical Expertise: Provide in-the-theatre product demonstrations, education, and expert support regarding the optimal use of suture materials, needles, and tissue approximation.

• Sales Growth & Account Management: Achieve and exceed quarterly/annual sales targets by identifying new business opportunities and driving product conversions across multiple specialties.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with surgeons, OR directors, nurses, and procurement teams to facilitate product trials and evaluations.

• Clinical Trial Support: Navigate the clinical value and patient outcome differences between your portfolio and competitor products to support purchasing decisions.

Key Duties

• Pre-Sale & Post-Sale Support: Work closely with end-users and distribution networks before and after a sale to troubleshoot issues and improve user experience.

• Educational Workshops: Conduct in-service training for hospital staff on new product developments, infection control, and surgical benefits.

• Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all sales, forecasting, and inventory strategies are aligned with corporate compliance, hospital protocols, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Clinical Credentials: Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.

• Specialty Certification: Operating Room Nurse certification (e.g., CNOR) is highly preferred to establish immediate clinical credibility with surgeons.

• Experience: 1 to 2 years of clinical experience in an OR/perioperative setting combined with proven medical device sales or clinical specialist experience.

• Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of wound care, anatomy, tissue healing phases, and suture material classifications (absorbable vs. non-absorbable, synthetic vs. natural).

• Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills.
