Software Development Manager - Reef Holding

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly capable Software Development Manager to lead software engineering initiatives and oversee the delivery of high-quality enterprise applications.

About the Role:

As a Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading all software development activities, from requirements analysis and solution design to development, testing, deployment, and ongoing enhancement. You will manage development teams, ensure alignment with business objectives, and deliver secure, scalable, and integrated software solutions that support the company’s digital transformation strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Software Development Leadership:

• Lead the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, system design, development, testing, deployment, and support
• Manage and mentor software development teams, assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards
• Establish operational plans and prioritize software projects based on business impact and strategic objectives

Solution Architecture & Systems Integration:

• Participate in designing software architecture and technical solutions that integrate with enterprise platforms such as ERP, CRM, POS, and e-commerce systems
• Ensure scalable and maintainable system designs aligned with company technology standards and digital governance policies
• Oversee API integrations and ensure reliable and secure data exchange across systems

Development Methodologies & Quality Assurance:

• Drive adoption of Agile and DevOps methodologies to improve development efficiency and collaboration
• Oversee software testing and quality assurance activities to ensure stable and reliable releases
• Manage version control, release management, and technical documentation throughout the development lifecycle

Application Performance & Security:

• Monitor application performance after deployment, analyze incidents, and implement continuous improvements
• Ensure adherence to application security standards, data protection requirements, and code quality practices
• Identify and manage technical risks and develop mitigation plans

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Innovation:

• Work closely with business and technology teams to translate operational needs into scalable software solutions
• Coordinate with infrastructure, applications, and IT teams to ensure development environments are fully prepared
• Evaluate new technologies, tools, and platforms to support innovation and digital transformation
• Develop team capabilities through coaching, training, and knowledge sharing

Reporting & Performance Monitoring:

• Prepare regular reports on project progress, delivery milestones, and key performance indicators
• Track team productivity and ensure compliance with approved development methodologies and governance standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• 7-9 years of relevant experience in software development and engineering leadership
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and enterprise application architecture
• Experience with programming languages and frameworks such as .NET, JavaScript, and Python
• Hands-on experience with Agile, DevOps, APIs, and systems integration

Preferred Certifications:

• PMP or Agile Project Management certification
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer or equivalent Full Stack Development certification
• Advanced training in System Architecture Design, QA & Testing, and Application Security

Language Requirements:

Fluency in Arabic and English

Performance Measurement:

Performance will be evaluated based on delivery of software projects on schedule, application quality and stability, alignment of solutions with business requirements, team productivity, and compliance with application security and software governance standards.
