Job Purpose:
Ensuring a safe and compliant environment for patients and staff. This role involves conducting assessments and inspections to identify hazardous conditions, coordinating safety training programs, and investigating incidents to prevent future occurrences.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Coordinates and conducts work area assessments, surveys, and program evaluations to identify hazardous conditions such as noise, chemical exposure, indoor air quality, and ventilation issues.
- Assists other departments with training needs by scheduling relevant training activities.
- Inspects firefighting systems (e.g., fire pumps, fire extinguishers, sprinklers, clean agent systems).
- Conducts investigations into incidents and accidents related to safety and submits detailed reports to the Safety Supervisor.
- Conducts or participates in periodic inspections of project sites and hospital facilities to assist in environmental, health, and safety compliance.
- Ensures the safety of building features such as storage areas, ramps, handrails and elevators.
- Provides safety reports to line manager.
- Trains, educates and conducts drills to ensure staff awareness of safety protocols.
- Collects and maintains data essential for effective safety, health and environmental programs.
- Conducts safety rounds as per schedule.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant safety regulations and standard.
- Other duties as assigned within the scope of the job.

- Completion of mandatory education as per the requirement, at least one month prior to expiration.
- 0 - 2 years of experience as a safety officer.
- Bachelor Degree / High-Diploma.
- Excellent command of oral and written English and Arabic.
- Preferred NEBOSH and / or IOSH
