Job Purpose

To set up, operate, and monitor CNC welding machines to manufacture products in accordance with engineering drawings, production schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations while maximizing productivity and minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Setup and operate CNC welding machines according to production work orders and standard operating procedures
• Load, verify, and adjust CNC programs before production
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications
• Prepare materials and workpieces prior to welding operations
• Monitor machine performance during operation and make necessary adjustments to ensure product quality
• Inspect finished products using measuring instruments and welding gauges to ensure compliance with specifications
• Identify and report machine malfunctions, quality issues, and production deviations to the supervisor
• Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance as assigned
• Record production data, machine performance, and inspection results accurately
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering departments to resolve production issues
• Ensure efficient use of materials and minimize scrap and rework
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards
• Comply with all company policies, safety procedures, and quality requirements

Education

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Welding Technology, or a related field

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience operating CNC welding machines or CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in steel fabrication or structural steel manufacturing is preferred
