Position: Maintenance Manager

Work Location: Tanajib, Eastern Province, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Company Overview

Tanajib Operation and Maintenance Company operates a Power Cogeneration Plant and Seawater Desalination Plant constructed as part of the Marjan Field Project of Saudi Aramco, with a net capacity of approximately 940 MW of electricity generation and steam output of approximately 1,084 tons per hour, along with a desalinated water output of approximately 19,470 cubic meters per day.

Vacancy

Reporting directly to the Plant General Manager, the Maintenance Manager will lead a team of Lead Engineers and Technicians in delivering day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities across Mechanical, Electrical, and C&I disciplines.

The Maintenance Manager will act as the site focal point for the planning and execution of planned and unplanned outages for major equipment, as well as plant improvement projects. The role is responsible for ensuring that maintenance activities support the plant’s availability, reliability, efficiency, generation, and cost targets while maintaining high safety and environmental standards.

The successful candidate will oversee maintenance planning, CMMS implementation, maintenance budgets, outage management, engineering projects, spare parts and inventory control, contractor performance, and long-term service agreements. The role will also be responsible for developing maintenance strategies, strengthening team capability, and ensuring effective coordination between Maintenance, Operations, and other plant functions.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation and Control Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of maintenance experience in power plants or large continuous process facilities, including commissioning activities.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance leadership or line management role.
• Strong experience in Combined Cycle Gas Turbine power plants, including Gas Turbines, HRSGs, Steam Turbines, and auxiliary systems, is preferred.
• Experience in plant start-up, commissioning, outage planning and execution, and operational readiness is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance management practices, CMMS, maintenance planning, budgeting, cost control, and contract management.
• Experience managing OEMs, contractors, long-term service agreements, and major maintenance outages is preferred.
• Strong understanding of Quality, Health, Safety, Environment, risk management, and applicable maintenance standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, planning, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
