Quality Testing Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quality Testing Specialist to ensure the delivery of high-quality software applications and digital solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, executing, and managing testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring that systems meet business, functional, performance, and security requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, user acceptance, and end-to-end testing.
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and Project Managers to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
• Validate system enhancements, bug fixes, and new releases before deployment.
• Participate in requirements review sessions and provide feedback from a quality assurance perspective.
• Prepare test execution reports, defect reports, and quality metrics.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and coordinate with business stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with organizational quality standards, testing methodologies, and best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and quality assurance frameworks.

Required Skills & ExperienceTechnical Skills

• Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience in Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, and UAT.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, or similar platforms.
• Ability to create detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test reports.
• Experience testing web applications, enterprise applications, and APIs.
• Knowledge of SQL and database validation techniques.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Understanding of quality assurance best practices and testing standards.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar platforms.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
• Knowledge of performance and security testing concepts.
• Experience working on digital transformation, enterprise, or government projects.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Software Quality Assurance and Testing.
• Proven experience in testing enterprise applications and business-critical systems.
• Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall project environments.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent field.

Preferred Certifications

• ISTQB Certified Tester (Foundation or Advanced Level).
• Certified Agile Tester (preferred).
• Other relevant Quality Assurance or Testing certifications are a plus.
