Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Solar PV Technician role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Solar PV Technician will install, assemble, and wire solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on rooftops and ground-mounted structures in accordance with design drawings, safety standards, and manufacturer specifications. Responsibilities include conducting site assessments, mounting structures, laying cables, connecting inverters and protection devices, and performing testing, commissioning, and performance verification of solar installations. The role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and performance issues, carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance, and preparing basic service reports and documentation. The technician will collaborate closely with engineers, supervisors, and other site teams to ensure safe execution, quality workmanship, and on-time delivery of projects.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of solar systems, including PV modules, inverters, mounting structures, and balance-of-system components.
• Understanding of the solar industry and solar power technologies, standards, and best practices.
• Experience with power generation systems, including DC and AC principles, protection devices, and grid-connected systems.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and performance issues in solar power installations and related equipment.
• Diploma or vocational qualification in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Familiarity with electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and basic design documents.
• Knowledge of relevant safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, PPE use, and working at heights.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and basic test equipment safely and accurately.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and work under supervision on active construction sites.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project
• Should Possess Certified solar PV installer certificate and approved on SEC portal
• SAUDI NATIONAL - SAUDIZATION
