Job description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant with experience in the travel and tourism industry and strong knowledge of taxation. The successful candidate will manage daily accounting operations, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and support financial reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record and maintain accurate accounting transactions and journal entries.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Handle tax calculations, tax returns, and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
• Monitor VAT filings and tax-related documentation.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain the General Ledger and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants when required.
• Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• +2years of accounting experience, preferably in the travel and tourism industry.
• Strong knowledge of taxation, VAT, and financial regulations.
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills in English and Arabic.
