Role Description The Senior Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based at EMC | المركز الأوروبي الطبي in Jeddah. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing activities. The Senior Accountant prepares financial statements, management reports, and analyses to support decision-making and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies. Responsibilities also include monitoring budgets, assisting with audits, improving internal controls, and supporting the finance team with process optimization. The role works closely with clinical and administrative departments to provide accurate financial information and ensure timely, reliable reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in core accounting functions, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support management decisions.
• Knowledge of local accounting standards, tax regulations, and healthcare financial practices; experience with audit preparation is an advantage.
• Advanced skills in accounting and ERP software, as well as MS Excel and other relevant office applications.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
• Prior experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role, ideally within healthcare or a service-oriented organization.
