Role Description The Marine Instructor is a full-time, on-site role based in Thuwal. This position is responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing training programs related to marine operations, safety procedures, equipment handling, and coastal facility practices. The Marine Instructor conducts classroom and practical on-water sessions, prepares instructional materials, and ensures all training aligns with relevant regulations, company policies, and industry standards. Daily activities include mentoring trainees, maintaining training records, coordinating schedules, and collaborating with operations and safety teams to address skill gaps. The role also involves inspecting training equipment, promoting a strong safety culture, and providing feedback to management on opportunities to improve training content and delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong background in marine operations, seamanship, or coastal facility management, with practical experience in field-based or offshore environments.
• Experience in training, instruction, or coaching, including designing lesson plans, delivering courses, and evaluating participant performance.
• Minimum Yachtmaster and STCW qualified
• Solid understanding of marine safety standards, emergency procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements; certification in marine safety or similar disciplines is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to diverse learner groups.
• Ability to work on-site in Thuwal, including in outdoor and marine settings, and to adhere to company health, safety, and environmental practices.
• Good organizational and documentation skills to maintain accurate training records, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Relevant diploma or degree in marine science, marine engineering, maritime studies, or a related technical field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality, continuous learning, and professional development in line with ISO-based and best practice environments.
