Purpose:

Provide efficient customer service in the IKEA Restaurant and Bistro to satisfy customer needs and to strengthen IKEA's position as the best home furnishing store.

Accountabilities:

• Prepare food and beverages for customers in the food line; prepare hot/cold food according to food preparation standards
• Ensuring your area of responsibility is clean, tidy, attractive and inviting. You also ensure products are in perfect condition and correctly priced at all times
• Ensure all food sales are processed in an accurate and timely manner
• Follow all internal and external food handling methods, health and safety, safety and sanitation regulations and guidelines
• Perform basic actions in the IKEA Food areas including equipment maintenance, cleaning, and ensuring store is in shape as new
• Perform cash opening and closing procedures as required; reconcile cash drawer while maintaining proper audit trail
• Ensure efficiency and good operations following daily operational routines as set by your manager
• Contribute to an environment where the IKEA culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of co-workers and customers
• Assume responsibility for other projects and tasks as they occur
• Preparing and serving beverages such as drip coffee, espresso-based drinks, tea and other specialty drinks
• You are service minded, and sales driven and feel motivated in working in a vibrant retail and restaurant environment
• Ability to operate ovens, grills, stoves, steam tables, fryers, and other electrical equipment
• Ability to work with knives, slicers, mixers, and other food preparation equipment
• You are flexible and open, curious and eager to learn. You enjoy working together with other people
• If you have previous food handling or full service restaurant experience it’s an advantage
• Open availability is preferred (Weekdays, Evenings, and Weekends)

Qualifications :

• Diploma or higher degree.
