About the Role
Implements approved departmental policies, processes, procedures, recommends improvements, oversees the implementation and provides instructions to subordinates and monitors their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.
Responsibilities
- Provides input for the development of departmental budget and monitors performance against approved levels within own area, ensuring any variances are appropriately addressed.
- Implements the day-to-day operations assigned for the Security & Safety function to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.
- Provides expertise on security related aspects and supervises the development of security policies and procedures of Riyad Bank ensuring due coverage of all critical aspects and requirements set by the government and SAMA and prudential coverage against all potential security risks.
- Studies building plans and determines location and placement of security and safety equipment in bank facilities and branches.
- Ensures testing the installed equipment to guarantee proper operation and coverage of designated area so that equipment are properly connected to central monitoring location.
- Manages the provision of security services for the cash-in-transit process, between the branches and cash units and ensures maintaining on-ground presence of security precautions throughout the operation to minimize potential threats.
- Manages cyber and information security risks (CIS) by ensuring appropriate implementation of CIS requirements and mitigation of CIS risk assessment findings in a timely manner.
- Leads, in conjunction with the team and other functions such as Risk Management, Legal and Human Resources, thorough investigations into the security breaches and fraudulent activities.
- Supervises the implementation and monitoring of a bank-wide health and safety programs and policies to promote safe and responsible operations.
- Negotiates and finalizes security and safety contracts established with external service providers.
- Leads the orientation of Riyad Bank staff in appropriate aspects of security, fire and loss prevention, safe working and other skills.
- Organizes and supervises the activities and work of a team of subordinates to ensure that all work is carried out in an efficient and procedurally compliant manner.
- Prepares departmental reports of Riyad Bank timely and accurately to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards.
- Represents the function and actively contributes in various committees/meetings as applicable.
- Ensures all staff have clear objectives, regular performance feedback sessions, formal annual appraisals, and individual development plans.
- Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls.
- Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in a related discipline.
- Certification in relevant security-related military/police courses, including facilities protection and security assessment.
- 10-12 years relevant experience in the field of corporate safety and security.
- Language: English: Intermediate.
