Provide advanced financial analysis, planning, and performance monitoring with a strong focus on manufacturing operations, cost efficiency, and production performance. Support management in optimizing plant utilization, cost structures, and profitability, and Ensure disciplined budget control and accurate financial utilization across the organization.
Job Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term planning.
- Develop production-linked financial forecasts (volume, yield, scrap, utilization).
- Align financial plans with production schedules, capacity, and sales pipeline.
Costing & Manufacturing Analysis
- Develop and maintain product costing models (standard and actual costing).
- Analyze cost drivers: raw materials, labor, overhead, energy, and maintenance.
- Perform detailed variance analysis (material usage, labor efficiency, overhead absorption).
- Evaluate cost per ton / unit and identify improvement opportunities.
Cost Control & Budget Governance
- Review and validate Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs) against approved budgets.
- Ensure proper allocation of expenses to correct cost centers, GL accounts, and accounting periods.
- Monitor budget utilization and prevent over-commitment or misallocation.
- Verify correct system booking of POs and invoices in line with budget and financial policies.
- Track committed vs. actual spending and highlight risks of budget overruns.
- Support enforcement of financial discipline across departments in coordination with Procurement and Finance.
- Provide guidance to stakeholders on correct budget usage, coding, and financial treatment.
Operational Performance Support
- Track and analyze KPIs: capacity utilization, yield, scrap rates, downtime, throughput.
- Partner with plant, engineering, and procurement teams to validate assumptions.
- Support cost optimization and efficiency improvement initiatives.
Financial Modeling
- Build models for production scenarios, cost optimization, and pricing support.
- Conduct sensitivity analysis on key drivers (raw material prices, volumes, energy costs).
- Support commercial decisions with margin and cost impact analysis.
Reporting & Insights
- Prepare monthly management reports focused on operational performance and cost control.
- Deliver clear variance analysis vs. budget and prior periods.
- Support Board and management reporting with production-linked financial insights.
Working Capital & Inventory Analysis
- Monitor inventory levels (RM, WIP, FG) and assess financial impact.
- Analyze inventory turnover, aging, and slow-moving stock.
- Support initiatives to optimize working capital.
Continuous Improvement
- Improve planning, costing, and reporting tools within ERP.
- Enhance data quality, automation, and financial control processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- 4-6+ years in FP&A or cost analysis within manufacturing.
- Strong experience in costing, budgeting, and financial controls.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Experience with ERP systems (preferred: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively challenge and align with cross-functional stakeholders on budgets, assumptions, and financial analysis.
- Proven experience in engaging with senior management, including presenting financial insights and supporting decision-making at leadership level.
- Strong presentation skills, including the ability to develop clear, structured, and impactful materials using Microsoft PowerPoint and similar tools.
- Ability to translate complex financial data into concise visuals, dashboards, and executive-level presentations.
- Strong attention to detail with a control-oriented mindset.
