Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Market Surveillance Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring market activities, analyzing trends and behaviors, identifying irregularities, and supporting compliance with regulatory requirements. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to transform market data into actionable insights that support informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor market activities and identify unusual patterns, anomalies, or potential market misconduct.
• Analyze market data, trading activities, and industry trends using quantitative and qualitative methods.
• Prepare analytical reports, dashboards, and presentations for management.
• Conduct investigations into suspicious market activities and document findings.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of market surveillance frameworks and monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies.
• Maintain accurate records of surveillance activities and investigation outcomes.
• Recommend enhancements to surveillance processes and risk monitoring methodologies.
• Stay up to date with market developments, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 3-8 years of experience in market surveillance, market analysis, compliance, financial services, regulatory authorities, or a related analytical role.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Experience working with large datasets and reporting tools.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or SQL is an advantage.
• Strong report writing and presentation skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
