Role Description The Special Education Teacher will work on-site in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in a full-time capacity, supporting students with a range of learning needs and disabilities. Responsibilities include developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), adapting lesson plans and teaching methods, and providing targeted interventions in collaboration with general education teachers. The role involves conducting ongoing assessments, tracking student progress, and maintaining accurate documentation in line with school policies. The Special Education Teacher will communicate regularly with families and colleagues, participate in multidisciplinary meetings, and contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture. Additional duties include supporting middle school classrooms, delivering small-group and one-on-one instruction, and attending professional development to stay current with best practices in special education.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Special Education and working with various Disabilities, including experience designing individualized education plans and interventions.
• Proven Teaching experience, preferably at the Middle School level, with skill in differentiating instruction and managing diverse classrooms.
• Effective Communication skills for collaborating with students, families, colleagues, and support staff, and for documenting progress clearly.
• Relevant bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field; additional certifications in special or inclusive education are an advantage.
• Knowledge of current inclusive education practices, behavioral support strategies, and academic accommodations and modifications.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural school environment and respect diverse backgrounds, languages, and learning styles.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple cases and responsibilities efficiently.
• Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are beneficial but not required.
