Pico Play is seeking a skilled Project Engineer professional to plan, coordinate, supervise, and control site activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within quality standards, and in line with the approved construction program.
Job description:
Planning & Work Management:
- Develop short-term and detailed look-ahead plans aligned with the overall project program.
- Plan and sequence daily activities and allocate workers and supervisors accordingly.
- Conduct daily morning briefings and toolbox talks prior to commencing works.
- Monitor progress and ensure activities remain aligned with the approved schedule.
- Immediately report any delays, deviations, or risks to the Project Manager/Director.
- Plan material and equipment deliveries in coordination with procurement to ensure timely availability.
- Escalate procurement or delivery delays to senior management without delay.
Project Coordination:
- Coordinate with main contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Attend and lead daily site meetings with quality and site teams to review ongoing and upcoming works.
- Ensure all required clearances and handovers are received prior to commencing works.
- Issue required handovers/clearances to relevant parties upon completion of works.
QA/QC Management:
- Plan, execute, and record all MIRs (Material Inspection Requests) and WIRs (Work Inspection Requests) in accordance with project requirements and program of works.
- Coordinate closely with the QA/QC team to ensure inspections and documentation are completed on time.
- Maintain all inspection logs and quality records up to date.
- Ensure no activity starts without approved documentation and inspection clearance.
Material & Resource Management:
- Manage material storage, site logistics, and deliveries.
- Monitor manpower allocation and review manpower histograms to ensure adequate resource deployment.
- Track daily labor and subcontractor productivity.
HSE Responsibilities:
- Ensure all site activities comply with approved HSE procedures.
- Do not commence any work without approved documentation (Method Statement, Risk Assessment, Lifting Plan, etc.), to be discussed and agreed with the Safety Manager in advance.
- Ensure all access equipment is safe and operated by trained and licensed personnel.
- Ensure toolbox talks and safety briefings are arranged regularly with workers and the safety team as required.
- Report accidents, incidents, or unsafe practices immediately.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical or relevant discipline).
- Minimum 4 years of site experience in construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, QA/QC procedures, and HSE standards.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and subcontractors.
- Proficient in project documentation systems (Aconex, Procore, etc.).
- Strong communication and reporting skills
