Job Summary:
The Senior Cloud Administrator will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and securing the BMC's cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure. This role requires expertise in SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS solutions, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of cloud-based services. The individual will collaborate with various teams to design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud solutions aligned with business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Azure Cloud Management: Administer and optimize cloud infrastructure in Azure, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and databases.
- Microsoft 365 Management: Administer users, groups, Exchange online, SharePoint, Teams and all Microsoft 365 platforms.
- SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS Administration: Oversee the deployment and management of various cloud services, ensuring seamless integration and efficient resource utilization.
- Cloud Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices, monitor cloud environments for threats, and ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO 27001, NIST, NCA, PDPL etc.).
- Identity & Access Management: Manage Microsoft Entra ID, role-based access control (RBAC), and multi-factor authentication (MFA) to enforce security policies.
- Backup & Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain cloud backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
- Monitoring & Performance Optimization: Utilize Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and other tools to track system health, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
- Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement automation using PowerShell, Terraform, ARM templates, or other tools to enhance efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
- Networking & Connectivity: Manage virtual networks, VPNs, ExpressRoute, load balancers, and firewalls to ensure secure and reliable cloud connectivity.
- Patch Management & Updates: Ensure cloud infrastructure is regularly updated with security patches and service improvements.
- Cost Optimization: Monitor cloud usage, analyze cost trends, and implement strategies to optimize cloud spending.
- Collaboration & Support: Work closely with development, security, and IT teams to provide guidance on cloud best practices and troubleshoot cloud-related issues.
- Documentation & Training: Maintain detailed technical documentation and provide training to IT staff on Azure cloud operations.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
- Master's or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as:
- Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
- Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)
- Minimum of 8-15 years of experience in cloud administration, with a strong focus on Azure services.
- Proficiency in managing Azure resources, including virtual machines, containers, Kubernetes, storage, and networking.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security principles, including identity management, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with automation tools such as PowerShell scripting.
- Knowledge of cloud-based database services such as Azure SQL.
- Experience in Windows servers, Linux, Active Directory, Group Policy
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
