Job Summary

The Project Director is responsible for leading and overseeing large-scale industrial construction projects from award through successful completion. The role provides strategic leadership to Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual and client requirements.

The Project Director serves as the primary point of contact with the client and is responsible for driving overall project performance, commercial success, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee multiple Project Managers and construction teams.
• Lead multidisciplinary organizations consisting of Engineering, Construction, QA/QC, HSE, Procurement, Planning, and Commercial teams.
• Manage all phases of EPC/Industrial construction projects.
• Develop and implement project execution strategies.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, Quality, and Company standards.
• Maintain project schedule and cost performance.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
• Ensure project profitability, cash flow performance, and overall commercial success.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Lead executive meetings with clients and senior management.
• Resolve critical technical, contractual, and commercial issues.
• Lead contract administration, claims, variations, and dispute resolution.
• Monitor project risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Coordinate Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Planning, QA/QC, HSE, and Commercial functions.
• Ensure achievement of project KPIs and contractual obligations.
• Drive a high-performance culture through accountability, leadership, and continuous improvement.
• Support business development activities and tender reviews when required.
• Mentor and develop Project Managers and senior project staff.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory).
• Master's Degree or MBA is an advantage.
• PMP Certification is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Arabic is an advantage.
• Must be currently residing in Saudi Arabia with the ability to join within 30 days.
  

Experience

• Minimum 20 years of experience in Industrial Construction Projects.
• Minimum 10 years in a Project Manager or Project Director position.
• Proven experience managing EPC, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Industrial projects.
• Proven track record in successfully delivering industrial projects valued at SAR 500 Million or above.
• Experience working with major clients such as Aramco, SABIC, Ma'aden, SATORP, YASREF, SEC, or equivalent is highly preferred.
