Job Title: Controller
Purpose of the Job
To supervise Operation Executive daily task and ensure that all planned crane and yard movements are supported by adequate equipment and manpower, and that all terminal resources are optimize in achieving target productivity.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
Office Function
- On arrival/berthing of the vessel assign & activate quay crane and deploy other equipment’s for operation.
- Segregation of equipment’s by considering following aspects i.e. assigned cranes, planned crane moves, pre-planning stacks of grounding & loading location.
- Deploying equipment’s as per required on heavy blocks and closely monitoring operation.
- Monitoring closely delivery & receiving blocks and making proper execution with Ops supervisor in reducing congestion in yard.
- Monitoring closely truck turnaround time to achieve given KPI.
- Optimizing Equipment utilization at yard to reduce fuel cost.
- Monitoring custom activity (clearing & laydown) and scan activity for smooth flow.
- Constantly monitoring crane sequence by coordinating with Vessel Planner & Yard Planner and if any clash occurs prompt action to be taken by changing crane sequence.
- Co-ordinating with Reefer Technician during operation while loading/discharging.
- Assign P.O.W to the operators effectively for achieving good productivity.
- Preparing shift monitoring report during every shift.
- Maintain hourly done moves report to make 35mph per crane.
- Any Incident / Accident need to capture all records and report to immediate superior.
- Follow SOP 100% to have safe operations.

Skills / Attributes
- Knowledgeable with overall container terminal operations, Vessel, Yard, and customs activities.
- Knowledgeable in Navis Sparc's and N4.
Required Experience
Education / Minimum Requirements
- College/bachelor’s degree.
