Role Overview

As a Project Engineer at Forbes Marshall, you are the vital link between cutting-edge engineering and real-world industrial impact. You will act as a consultant, a strategist, and a technical expert, navigating the vibrant and expanding industrial landscape of Saudi Arabia. By identifying optimization opportunities and integrating Forbes Marshall’s innovative steam and control solutions, you play a direct part in reducing carbon footprints, saving vital energy, and ensuring the industrial future of Saudi Arabia is both productive and environmentally responsible.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and apply deep technical knowledge of Steam Boilers and Steam Systems to serve as a subject matter expert for all project stakeholders.
• Proactively identify and track upcoming industrial projects across all major industrial zones and developing economic regions within Saudi Arabia.
• Identify and engage with the key consultants and contractors who lead large-scale steam and thermal energy projects across the Kingdom.
• Work closely from the initial design stage to provide technical support and ensure Forbes Marshall solutions are integrated into project specifications.
• Manage the end-to-end process of registering Forbes Marshall on the approved vendor lists of regional consultants and contractors.
• Conduct professional training seminars and technical workshops for consultants and contractors to build awareness of our latest engineering innovations.
• Perform industrial benchmarking to clearly demonstrate how Forbes Marshall deliverables provide superior efficiency and reliability compared to standard market options.
• Manage a strategic grid of customers, conducting detailed onsite surveys to identify operational gaps and improvement areas.
• Submit high-quality technical reports that provide data-backed insights into system health and operational performance.
• Propose tailored Forbes Marshall solutions focused on saving energy, boosting productivity, and reducing environmental impact to help partners meet modern industrial standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc. or B.E.) in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Power, Chemical, or Instrumentation & Control Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional Registration: Must be registered (or eligible for registration) with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE), ensuring compliance with local engineering standards.
• Proven Experience: A minimum of 3 to 9 years of experience in project engineering, technical sales, or industrial utility management, ideally within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Technical Foundation: A strong grasp of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer; direct exposure to steam systems, boilers, or process automation is highly advantageous.
• Industry Knowledge: Hands-on experience within manufacturing environments such as Petrochemicals, Food & Beverage, Pharmaceuticals, or heavy utilities is preferred.
• Local Residency: The candidate must be currently based in Saudi Arabia with a valid, transferable Iqama and the ability to begin work within a reasonable notice period.
• Stakeholder Experience: Proven ability to engage with EPC contractors, engineering consultants, and industrial plant managers, with the capacity to influence project specifications at the design stage.
• Communication Proficiency: Full professional command of English for technical reporting and presentations. Fluency in Arabic is a significant advantage for effective local coordination.
• Consultative Approach: A results-oriented mindset with the ability to identify operational inefficiencies and propose technical solutions as compelling business cases for energy saving and productivity.
• Analytical Skills: Competence in conducting onsite technical surveys, performing industrial benchmarking, and drafting detailed performance reports for end-users.
• Mobility and Travel: Possession of a valid Saudi Arabian driving license and a willingness to travel extensively to various industrial regions to meet with customers and partners.
• Interpersonal Strength: Self-motivated and capable of working independently to manage a strategic portfolio of customers while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
