Job Purpose
The Officer - Data Quality is responsible for ensuring that both general data quality of the operations meet organizational standards by reviewing data processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing best practices.
Job Accountabilities
- Conduct assessments of data across various systems to determine accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability.
- Implement a data governance framework that defines roles, responsibilities, and processes for data management, ensuring accountability and clarity across the organization.
- Perform regular data audits to identify issues and areas for improvement.
- Implement processes to correct inaccuracies, eliminate duplicates, and standardize data formats.
- Ensure that operational data is accurate, complete, and up to date across all systems.
- Maintain data quality for effective customer segmentation and targeting.
- Analyze the underlying causes of data quality issues, particularly those affecting customer information.
- Implement corrective actions to prevent future data quality problems.
- Ensure that data management practices comply with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Keep abreast of industry best practices, tools, and technologies related to data quality and customer information management.
- Act as an advocate for data privacy within the organization, ensuring that all data handling practices respect customer privacy and comply with legal standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, Business Administration, or related field.
- A minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in the same or similar field.
