Job Summary
The sports Coordinator supports coaches in the preparation and delivery of sports activities and training sessions. The role assists with organizing participants, setting up equipment, ensuring safety procedures are followed, and helping create a positive and engaging environment for all participants.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist coaches during training sessions, games, and sports activities.
- Prepare and set up sports equipment before each session and ensure it is properly stored afterward.
- Support coaches in supervising participants and maintaining discipline.
- Help organize participants into teams or activity groups.
- Monitor attendance and assist with participant registration when required.
- Ensure sports equipment and facilities are clean, safe, and ready for use.
- Encourage teamwork, fair play, and positive sportsmanship among participants.
- Assist with warm-up and cool-down activities under the coach's direction.
- Report any injuries, incidents, or safety concerns immediately to the coach or Sports Coordinator.
- Provide general administrative support, including maintaining attendance records and equipment inventory.
- Assist during sports tournaments, competitions, and special events.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Management, or a related field is an advantage).
- First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.
Experience
- Previous experience in sports, coaching, volunteering, or recreational activities is preferred but not essential.
