Scope:

Oversee and implement processes and operations pertaining to refining, sweetening, refrigeration, storage, shipping, fractionation and drying plant, crude distillation and stripping, plat forming and hydro cracking and other technical areas of similar complexity. Serve as a lead or highly skill operator in less complex plants. Demonstrate technical ability following contexts, including oil, gas or seawater handling, treatment or processing in any area of SATROP operations, And Manage Shift Operators and oversee operational activities in SATORP facilities, and perform high-skill operational duties in SATORP facilities.

1. Adherence to company HSSE policy and procedures.
2. Responsible to monitor and perform all tasks assigned in a safe and efficient way in accordance with the established operating procedures and written or oral instructions from Supervisor.
3. Follow and perform safe start-up & shutdown using approved operating procedures and general instructions.
4. Fill and maintain records of log books (OLB), operating log sheets, relevant checklists and report deviation.
5. Respond to emergency situations by taking necessary actions to restore normal operating conditions.
6. Make regular inspections/ Check rounds to ensure the plant’s correct functioning, correct malfunctions if appropriate or refer situation/incidents to Lead Operator.
7. Coordinate with maintenance to identify equipment’s location and monitor during their activity.
8. Need to have the necessary skills to conduct risk assessment.
9. Ensure all work permit precautions and required conditions are fulfilled.
10. Take samples and perform process chemical and physical tests as required.
11. Report and ensure all faulty equipment’s maintenance notifications are raised.
12. Demonstrates the ability to write/update documentation of work.
13. Assumes additional responsibilities to enhance efficiency of the team and provide informal guidance and support to more junior team members.
14. Demonstrates ability to complete work activities independently and/or with minimal supervision.
15. Provides input towards the resolution of moderate to complex and uncommon problems based on existing standards and procedures.
16. Perform in-plant housekeeping duties and report to supervisor for any external support needed.
17. Perform other related duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
18. Demonstrate experience and skills to complete assigned work within area of expertise.
19. Demonstrates good understanding of how the team integrates with others to achieve objectives.
20. Knows the proper use of available devices for communication and maintain them.

Takes an active part in Emergency response team (ERT) when nominated.

Minimum Qualifications:

Degree: Two (2) years Diploma or equivalent; or high school.
