Job Summary

The IT Manager - Infrastructure, Network & Data Center is responsible for overseeing the organization’s core IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and data center operations. This role ensures high availability, performance, security, and scalability of IT systems while aligning with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Management

• Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure (servers, storage, virtualization, cloud platforms).
• Ensure system availability, performance, and reliability through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
• Manage backup, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity plans (BCP).
• Lead infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and optimization initiatives.

Network Management

• Oversee LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN infrastructure.
• Ensure network security, performance, and uptime.
• Manage firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers.
• Monitor network traffic, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.
• Ensure network scalability to support business growth.

Data Center Operations

• Manage on-premises and/or hybrid data center environments.
• Ensure proper power, cooling, and physical security standards.
• Monitor server capacity, storage utilization, and hardware lifecycle.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware procurement and maintenance.

Security & Compliance

• Implement IT security policies, standards, and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with relevant frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.).
• Manage access controls, patching, and vulnerability management.
• Respond to security incidents and coordinate remediation efforts.

Team & Vendor Management

• Lead and mentor infrastructure and network teams.
• Manage external vendors, service providers, and SLAs.
• Plan and allocate resources effectively across projects and operations.

Project & Strategy

• Develop IT infrastructure roadmaps aligned with business goals.
• Lead technology transformation initiatives (cloud adoption, automation).
• Manage budgets for infrastructure and data center operations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and network management.
• 3+ years in a managerial or leadership role.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of:
• Network technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing/switching)
• Data center operations and architecture
• Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
• Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Storage systems and backup solutions
• Security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security)

Certifications (Preferred)

• Cisco (CCNP/CCIE)
• Microsoft (Azure/Azure Architect)
• VMware (VCP)
• ITIL
• CISSP or equivalent (for security focus)
