Technical Program Lead (Onsite Riyadh)

Maplewave is seeking a Technical Program Lead to lead enterprise software implementations for a major telecommunications transformation program in Riyadh. This is a highly visible client-facing role overseeing multiple technology workstreams and collaborating with international delivery teams.

This role will act as the primary onsite lead for Maplewave delivery activities, coordinating cross-functional teams across POS, Inventory Management, Paperless, Insights, Engage, and Business As Usual (BAU) delivery streams.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical leadership with program delivery expertise and will work closely with client stakeholders, partner teams, and internal Maplewave resources to ensure successful execution across all project phases.

This role is based onsite in Riyadh. Candidates must currently reside in Saudi Arabia or be willing to relocate for the role.

Key Responsibilities

Program Delivery & Execution

• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of Maplewave solution delivery activities across multiple workstreams.
• Maintain and manage implementation delivery plans aligned with overall client program timelines and governance requirements.
• Coordinate technical and operational activities across POS, Inventory, Paperless, Insights, Engage, and BAU teams.
• Track delivery progress, milestones, dependencies, and risks, providing regular written status updates to stakeholders.
• Drive issue resolution and proactively identify mitigation strategies for delivery risks and blockers.
• Ensure all Maplewave deliverables meet client expectations, quality standards, and governance requirements.
• Support operational stability, production uptime, and preventative maintenance planning.

Stakeholder & Governance Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for Maplewave delivery activities onsite in Riyadh.
• Collaborate closely with client PMO teams, implementation partners, and Maplewave leadership.
• Participate in governance meetings, delivery reviews, and program planning sessions.
• Identify and communicate dependencies, risks, and impacts related to client and third-party activities.
• Participate in change management processes and conduct impact assessments for change requests.

Technical Leadership & Implementation Oversight

• Oversee implementation activities across non-production and production environments.
• Coordinate testing activities including unit testing, system testing, SIT, and UAT support.
• Support deployment planning, production releases, and operational readiness activities.
• Guide teams in troubleshooting and resolving production incidents and delivery challenges.
• Ensure business configuration requirements are properly defined and implemented.
• Coordinate knowledge transfer activities to support client operational handoff and long-term support readiness.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading enterprise software delivery or implementation programs.
• Strong experience working with Point-of-Sale (POS), retail systems, inventory management platforms, or enterprise business applications.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical teams in client-facing environments.
• Experience managing complex implementations involving multiple stakeholders and delivery streams.
• Strong understanding of software delivery methodologies, Agile practices, governance processes, and risk management.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable operating as the primary onsite delivery lead in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be based in Saudi Arabia or willing to relocate to Riyadh.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Telecommunications industry experience.
• Experience working with international teams and enterprise implementation partners.
• Familiarity with program governance structures, RACI frameworks, and change control processes.
