📌 Job Title: Cost Accountant

📍 Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

📝 Job Summary

The Cost Accountant will be responsible for product costing, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and cost control across PVC pipes and aluminum façade manufacturing operations. The role supports management in cost optimization, pricing decisions, and margin improvement through accurate and timely cost data.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

1. Costing & Manufacturing Analysis

·       Develop and maintain standard and actual costs for PVC pipes, aluminum profiles, façade systems, and related accessories.

·       Analyze BOMs, production routings, extrusion, fabrication, coating, and installation-related costs.

·       Perform variance analysis (material, labor, overhead) and recommend corrective actions.

2. Inventory, WIP & Scrap Control

·       Monitor and value raw materials (PVC resin, additives, aluminum billets, glass, accessories), WIP, and finished goods.

·       Reconcile inventory with physical counts and production reports.

·       Track scrap, wastage, rework, yield, and efficiency across extrusion and fabrication lines.

3. Budgeting & Forecasting

·       Support preparation of manufacturing budgets and cost forecasts.

·       Compare actual vs budgeted costs and highlight variances.

·       Support CAPEX evaluations for machinery, molds, dies, extrusion lines, and fabrication equipment.

4. Reporting & Management Support

·       Prepare monthly cost reports, dashboards, and KPIs for management.

·       Support product pricing, quotation costing, and margin analysis for projects and tenders.

·       Provide cost insights to production, procurement, and sales teams.

5. Systems, Controls & Compliance

·       Maintain costing modules in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / ERPNext / others).

·       Ensure compliance with IFRS, VAT, and internal cost control policies.

·       Support internal and external audits, particularly related to inventory and manufacturing costs.

📌 Skills & Competencies

·       Strong understanding of manufacturing costing (PVC pipes, aluminum façade, extrusion & fabrication).

·       Advanced Excel skills; ERP costing experience mandatory.

·       Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting abilities.

·       Ability to work cross-functionally with production, engineering, procurement, and sales teams.

🎓 Qualifications & Experience

·       Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance / Cost Accounting.

·       3 -6+ years of cost accounting experience in PVC pipes, aluminum, façade, or metal/plastics manufacturing.

💼 Additional Requirements

·       Experience in Saudi Arabia / GCC preferred.

·       Knowledge of VAT, ZATCA compliance, and local regulations is a plus.

·       Hands-on exposure to manufacturing KPIs and operational costing.
