About the Role

Dnaneer is hiring a hands-on Finance Team Lead to run our three core finance verticals (Financial Management, Accounting, and Debt Control). As a SAMA-supervised financing company answerable to regulators, auditors, and investors alike, we operate in an environment where the accuracy, timeliness, and control of every financial number directly underpins the trust placed in us.

This role reports to the CEO and partners with senior leadership to support decision-making through reliable financial information. You will own the integrity of the financial records and reporting, lead the budgeting and forecasting cycle, keep the company fully compliant with its tax and statutory obligations, and supervise the Accountant and Debit Controller to deliver a well-controlled finance operation aligned with IFRS and applicable SAMA frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Debt Control

• Oversee the debt control function, ensuring loan and facility balances, accrued profit, and repayment schedules are accurately recorded and reconciled across the lending and accounting systems.
• Monitor portfolio repayment performance and aging, ensuring overdue and impaired exposures are correctly classified, provisioned, and reported in line with IFRS 9 and SAMA requirements.
• Ensure investor repayment allocations and collections postings are reconciled to the underlying facilities, so that principal and profit are correctly attributed and the receivables ledger ties out at each close.

Financial Management

• Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS and Dnaneer’s internal policies.
• Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles with business teams, and perform variance analysis to identify key drivers and present insights to senior management.
• Drive strategic initiatives with financial modeling and scenario analysis.
• Own the preparation and submission of SAMA regulatory returns and prudential reporting in line with applicable guidelines.

Accounting

• Oversee the general ledger, chart of accounts, and month-end and year-end close processes, including timely and accurate processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and inter-company reconciliations.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting, and manage external audits with third-party auditors to ensure audit readiness and clean outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, systems, and reporting to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Taxation

• Ensure full compliance with all applicable Saudi tax obligations (VAT, Zakat, and withholding tax), and prepare and submit periodic VAT returns, Zakat declarations, and other statutory filings with ZATCA accurately and on time.
• Manage all correspondence and audits with ZATCA, and maintain proper tax documentation, registers, and supporting records to ensure full audit readiness.
• Monitor changes in Saudi tax legislation and advise senior management on their impact, coordinating with external tax advisors on complex matters to ensure best-practice, compliant tax positions.

Qualifications

Required

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, and/or taxation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Solid understanding of SAMA regulatory frameworks for finance companies.
• Solid understanding of the Saudi tax framework (VAT, Zakat, and withholding tax) and ZATCA filing requirements.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and variance analysis using Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• AI-native mindset: works efficiently with AI tools to sharpen financial analysis, reporting, and day-to-day workflows, and treats them as a core part of how the work gets done.

Preferred

• Prior experience in a SAMA-regulated financial institution, fintech, or financial services company, a crowd lending or SME-financing background is a strong advantage.
• Professional qualifications (CMA, CPA, SOCPA, ACCA, or CFA).
• Track record of delivering accurate, timely financial reporting and supporting tax compliance in a structured, regulated environment.
• Preferably a Saudi national.
