The Organizational Setting
Evaluate and review standards for establishing and operating vertiport infrastructure for AAM, ensuring compliance with safety and quality requirements. Duties include studying design standards, power and electric-charging systems, and ground-movement procedures, as well as supporting vertiport certification and operation.
Major Duties And Responsibilities

Under The Direction:
- Conduct technical analyses and studies ensuring the safe integration of AAM technologies into the aviation ecosystem.

- Build technical capabilities in advanced air mobility (AAM) within GACA.
Function 3 (incl. Expected results)
- Develop regulations and procedures, prepare technical recommendations, and obtain the required approvals.

- Define the operational concepts, network, and requirements for AAM ground infrastructure.
Function 5 (incl. Expected results)
- Contribute to developing design and operational regulations for AAM vertiports.

- Assess safety requirements and emergency procedures at vertiports.

- Analyze future expansion needs and integration with other transportation networks.

- Coordinate with developers and operators to verify compliance with standards.

- Support inspection and initial certification processes for vertiports.

- Support and enable tests and flight trials for AAM systems.

Impact of The Outcome of the Position
The work of this position directly contributes to the safe and effective integration of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) into the national aviation system, supporting GACA’s strategic objectives and alignment with international aviation standards.
Work Relations and Contacts
The incumbent works under the direction of the General Management of Advanced Air Mobility - AAM, within the Aviation Safety and Environmental Sustainability sector. The role requires close coordination with internal GACA departments, regulatory bodies, OEMs, operators, and international aviation organizations.

Qualifications And Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, Airport Management, or equivalent.
Essential:
Professional experience
- Minimum 12 years of experience in the field.
Desirable:
- Experience with ICAO standards and recommended practices related to AAM or emerging aviation technologies.
