Batterjee Medical College is seeking a qualified and passionate Faculty Member in Family Medicine to join the General Medicine Practice Program. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of high-quality medical education through teaching, clinical supervision, research, and community engagement while preparing future physicians to provide comprehensive, patient-centered primary healthcare.

Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Clinical Education
- Deliver undergraduate teaching in Family Medicine through lectures, tutorials, clinical teaching, and case-based learning (CBL).
- Supervise students during clinical rotations in primary healthcare centers and family medicine clinics.
- Teach evidence-based approaches to preventive care, chronic disease management, health promotion, and patient-centered care.
- Utilize Blackboard (LMS), digital learning platforms, and educational technologies effectively.
- Prepare, administer, and evaluate examinations, assignments, and clinical assessments.
- Maintain accurate academic records, attendance, and student evaluations.
Student Support & Development
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to medical students.
- Foster clinical reasoning, professionalism, communication, and ethical practice.
- Monitor student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
Research & Scholarly Activities
- Conduct research in Family Medicine or related healthcare disciplines.
- Publish scholarly work in peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in academic conferences, seminars, and research collaborations.
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous program improvement.
Academic Quality & Institutional Service
- Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Support accreditation activities and compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.
- Prepare course reports, annual program reports, and required academic documentation.
- Contribute to curriculum review and enhancement initiatives.
Community Engagement
- Participate in health promotion campaigns, community outreach programs, and public health initiatives.
- Collaborate with healthcare organizations to strengthen community-based medical education.
Requirements
- MD, Arab Board, Saudi Board, or PhD in Family Medicine.
- Professional classification and licensure with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) or eligibility for registration.
Experience
- Teaching experience in higher education is preferred.
- Clinical experience in Family Medicine and Primary Healthcare.
- Experience in research, academic activities, and curriculum development is an advantage.
