Role Description The Assistant role at Lava Cafe & Restaurant is a full-time, on-site position based in Riyadh. The Assistant supports daily operations by helping with customer service, coordinating table seating, and ensuring orders are handled accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities include assisting the serving team, maintaining cleanliness and organization in dining and service areas, and helping with basic food and beverage preparation as needed. The Assistant also supports opening and closing procedures, restocking supplies, and communicating with kitchen and front-of-house staff to maintain smooth service. This role requires flexibility, reliability, and a strong focus on guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Customer service and hospitality skills, with the ability to interact courteously and professionally with guests.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
• Basic organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks during busy service periods.
• Attention to cleanliness and safety, with the ability to follow restaurant hygiene and operational standards.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, move quickly, and assist with light lifting as part of daily duties.
• Previous experience in a cafe, restaurant, or retail environment is an advantage but not required.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Basic proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
