We are seeking a Project Engineer - Rail Systems / Signaling Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience to support the delivery of rail infrastructure projects under a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) scope. The role involves overseeing the planning, coordination, review, and monitoring of rail systems and signaling activities to ensure compliance with project requirements, technical standards, safety regulations, and schedule objectives.

Saudi Nationals are preferred for this position.

Responsibilities

• Review and monitor the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of rail systems and signaling works.
• Support the PMC team in overseeing contractors’ performance, progress, technical submittals, and compliance with contract requirements.
• Coordinate interface activities between signaling systems and other rail disciplines, including track, telecom, SCADA, power supply, rolling stock, and civil works.
• Review method statements, inspection test plans, shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation.
• Track project progress against approved schedules and identify risks, delays, and technical issues affecting delivery.
• Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, site inspections, factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure that signaling and rail systems works comply with applicable international standards, project specifications, safety requirements, and local regulations.
• Support the management of project interfaces, change requests, non-conformance reports, and technical queries.
• Prepare technical reports, progress updates, meeting minutes, risk logs, and coordination records for PMC and client review.
• Assist in monitoring quality assurance and quality control processes related to rail systems and signaling works.
• Work closely with HSE and quality teams to ensure safe and compliant project execution.
• Support testing and commissioning planning and readiness reviews for rail systems and signaling packages.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Railway Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in rail systems and/or signaling engineering.
• Experience working on PMC, supervision, design review, or project delivery assignments for rail or metro projects.
• Familiarity with signaling systems such as CBTC, interlocking, ATP, ATS, axle counters, track circuits, and related rail control systems is preferred.
• Understanding of rail systems integration and multidisciplinary interfaces.
• Knowledge of testing and commissioning processes for rail systems and signaling works.
• Familiarity with international railway standards, codes, and safety practices.
• Saudi preferred.
