Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated IT Field Support Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate enjoys solving technical issues and providing exceptional end-user support. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting desktops, laptops, printers, and enterprise applications, while troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues to ensure timely resolution and a seamless user experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other end-user devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and basic network issues.
- Support enterprise applications and assist users with application-related incidents.
- Log, track, and manage incidents and service requests through the organization's ITSM tool.
- Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate support teams when required.
- Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware and software.
- Ensure timely resolution of support requests while meeting defined service levels.
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions, and support activities.
- Deliver professional, customer-focused technical support to end users.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, or field support.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, desktop and laptop troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting printers, enterprise applications, and basic networking concepts.
- Familiarity with ITSM/service desk tools for incident and request management.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
