ABOUT THE ROLE / ROLE OVERVIEW

The Runner/Courier supports the logistics team by ensuring the efficient, safe, and timely movement of documents, packages, and materials between departments, warehouses, vendors, and customers. The role ensures smooth operational flow, accuracy in deliveries, and adherence to company standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Pick-up & Delivery

• Collect and deliver documents, parcels, samples, and materials between company locations, warehouses, and external partners.
• Ensure accurate handover by obtaining signatures and completing delivery logs.
• Prioritize urgent deliveries and ensure timely drop-offs.

2. Internal Logistics Support

• Assist warehouse or logistics teams with unloading, sorting, and routing items.
• Move items between departments as requested.
• Support inventory staff by transporting items for checking, labelling, or dispatch.

3. Documentation & Records

• Maintain accurate records of all deliveries, including time, destination, and recipient.
• Report discrepancies or delivery issues immediately to the supervisor.
• Ensure confidential documents are handled securely.

4. Customer & Vendor Interaction

• Represent the company professionally during interactions with clients and vendors.
• Provide clear communication regarding delivery confirmation or delays.
• Handle customer inquiries related to deliveries in a polite manner.

5. Compliance & Safety

• Follow all company logistics protocols and safety procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive materials.

REQUIREMENTS

Education / Qualification

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.

Experience

• Relevant experience is a plus.

Skills & Attributes

• Good communication and professionalism.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and carry parcels of varying weights.
• Basic logistics knowledge is a plus.
