Role Description The Accountant role at METS is a full-time, on-site position based in Riyadh. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger postings, and bank reconciliations. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, maintaining accurate records, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations. The role also involves monitoring project costs, assisting with financial reporting for utility and telecommunication projects, and coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders as needed. The Accountant will contribute to process improvements, support audits, and provide clear, timely financial information to management.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong accounting and bookkeeping skills, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliation.
- Candidates should possess financial reporting and analysis skills, including preparation of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel, along with solid data entry and documentation skills.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements in Saudi Arabia.
- Candidates should possess strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume environments.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with project teams, management, and external partners.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is an advantage.
- Experience in construction, utilities, or telecommunication project accounting is beneficial, as well as familiarity with cost control and project-based financial tracking.
