Role Description The Valve Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Jubail, responsible for the technical assessment, maintenance, repair, testing and calibrations of industrial pressure safety & control valves and associated actuators. The role includes diagnosing valve and pipeline issues, preparing maintenance plans, overseeing workshop and field service activities, and ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and industry standards. The Valve Engineer will collaborate closely with technicians and other engineers to support planned shutdowns and respond to emergency breakdowns, including documentation of findings, preparation of service reports, and participation in root-cause analyses. This position also involves continuous improvement of maintenance procedures, providing technical guidance to the team, and supporting client communication on technical matters.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of industrial valves, actuators, and pipeline systems, including inspection, maintenance, repair, testing and calibrations.
• Experienced in valve testing and overhauling with strong knowledge of ASTM, API, ANSI, and ASME standards, including inspection procedures, pressure testing, seat leakage testing, repair, maintenance, and quality compliance requirements.
• Experience with plant systems, materials technology, and relevant industrial standards and safety regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals & datasheet, and equipment specifications.
• Competence in troubleshooting mechanical and instrumentation issues and performing root-cause analysis.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with engineers, technicians, and client representatives.
• Proficiency in using maintenance management systems, documentation tools, and basic computer applications.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Prior experience in industrial plants, oil and gas, petrochemical, or similar environments is highly beneficial.
• Commitment to safe working practices and adherence to company and industry safety procedures.
• Willingness to work during shutdowns, emergencies, and extended hours when required.
