Job Summary

The Well Test Operator is responsible for the safe rig-up, operation, and rig-down of surface well testing equipment to evaluate the performance of oil and gas wells, working under the direct supervision of a Well Test Supervisor/Senior Operator.

Key Responsibilities

• Rig up and rig down well test equipment (separators, chokes, sand traps, burners, flowlines, manifolds) at the wellsite per company procedures and HSE standards.
• Operate and monitor well test equipment during flow periods, recording pressure, temperature, and flow rate data at specified intervals.
• Assist in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and pre-job safety meetings.
• Monitor well performance and equipment condition; report abnormalities to the Supervisor immediately.
• Maintain equipment in safe working order; assist with routine maintenance and inspections.
• Accurately complete field data sheets and hand over readings to the Supervisor/Engineer.
• Ensure basic equipment assigned to the crew is complete, in place, and job-ready.
• Follow all client (e.g., Saudi Aramco) and company safety and environmental procedures.
• Assist with restocking wellsite consumables and supplies.

Requirements

• High school diploma; technical/vocational diploma in oilfield technology preferred.
• 2-5 years' experience in Saudi Aramco well testing/oilfield services operations.
• Working knowledge of well test equipment, flow calculations, and safety protocols (H2S awareness, JSA).
• Willingness to work rotational shifts (e.g., 60x30 or standard rig rotation) in remote desert locations.
• Physically fit; able to work under pressure in field conditions.
• Basic English literacy for data recording; Arabic a plus.
