Role Description The Kitchen Equipment Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Riyadh, responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing kitchen and food service equipment to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations. Day-to-day tasks include conducting routine inspections, performing preventive maintenance, identifying and resolving mechanical and electrical issues, and coordinating with suppliers or service providers when specialized repairs are required. The technician will collaborate closely with the culinary and engineering teams to minimize equipment downtime, support energy-efficient operation, and comply with health and safety standards. This role also involves maintaining accurate maintenance records, monitoring spare parts inventory, and following Radisson Hotel Group’s safety and sustainability guidelines. The technician is expected to respond promptly to maintenance requests, support emergency repairs, and contribute to a reliable, guest-focused hotel environment.
Qualifications
- Strong technical skills in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing commercial kitchen equipment (e.g., ovens, dishwashers, refrigeration units, cooking ranges).
- Knowledge of basic electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems relevant to kitchen operations, including safe use of tools and test equipment.
- Understanding of health, safety, and hygiene regulations in hospitality kitchens, with the ability to apply safe work practices and preventive maintenance routines.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, equipment schematics, and maintenance documentation.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with culinary, engineering, and suppliers, and to provide clear updates on maintenance activities.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize work orders, manage time, and maintain accurate maintenance logs and inventory records.
- Previous experience as a kitchen equipment technician or in a similar maintenance role, preferably in hotels, restaurants, or large-scale food service operations.
- Relevant technical or vocational certification in mechanical, electrical, or refrigeration fields is preferred.
