Dream Realization Lab (DRL) is an advanced product development and prototyping facility established to bridge the gap between ideas and reality. DRL supports researchers, startups, students, and industry partners by providing access to state-of-the-art design, manufacturing, electronics, and prototyping capabilities.

As DRL continues to expand, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Advanced Manufacturing Technician to help establish and operate a next-generation manufacturing workshop featuring advanced machining, EDM, waterjet, hybrid manufacturing, and metal additive manufacturing technologies.

Position Summary

The Senior Advanced Manufacturing Technician will play a critical role in commissioning new equipment, developing manufacturing processes, supporting product development projects, and maintaining world-class operational standards across the workshop.

Key Responsibilities

- Commission, qualify, and operate advanced manufacturing equipment.

- Support CNC machining, EDM, waterjet cutting, hybrid manufacturing, and metal additive manufacturing activities.

- Develop and maintain operating procedures, safety documentation, and maintenance schedules.

- Support prototype development and low-volume manufacturing projects.

- Collaborate with engineers, researchers, startups, students, and industry partners.

- Assist with tooling selection, fixturing, process optimization, and manufacturing planning.

- Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.

- Train users on equipment operation, workshop practices, and safety requirements.

- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient workshop environment.

Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in machining, manufacturing, prototyping, or workshop operations.

- Experience operating CNC milling and turning equipment, preferably industrial systems such as HAAS or equivalent platforms.

- Exposure to EDM technologies, waterjet systems, advanced machining equipment, or similar manufacturing technologies is highly desirable.

- Familiarity with CAM software and manufacturing workflows.

- Exposure to hybrid manufacturing systems or metal additive manufacturing technologies is considered an advantage.

- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and manufacturing documentation.

- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
