Job Title: Accounting Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounting Manager to lead the accounting and financial reporting functions of our fast-growing E-commerce business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting (MIS), compliance, and internal controls while providing strategic financial insights to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the company's accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Bank Reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Develop, analyze, and present Management Information System (MIS) reports to senior management.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and overall financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, VAT requirements, and company policies.
• Establish, maintain, and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets and enhance operational efficiency.
• Perform financial analysis, profitability analysis, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities during audits and statutory filings.
• Manage ERP financial modules and ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team to achieve departmental objectives.
• Recommend process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or SOCPA is preferred.
• Minimum 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2-3 years in a managerial role.
• Previous experience in the E-commerce, Retail, Marketplace, or Digital Commerce industry is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, VAT, and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, NetSuite, or similar).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
