Role Description The Academic Head is a full-time, on-site role based in Jeddah, responsible for leading the academic vision and standards across the school. This role oversees curriculum planning and implementation, ensuring alignment with the British curriculum and the school’s educational philosophy. The Academic Head will guide and support teachers and teaching assistants through mentoring, classroom observation, and professional development initiatives. Daily responsibilities include monitoring student achievement, analyzing academic data, and implementing strategies to enhance teaching quality and learning outcomes. The role also involves close collaboration with parents, participation in school leadership meetings, coordination of extracurricular and enrichment programs, and ensuring compliance with relevant educational guidelines and policies.

Qualifications

• Educational leadership skills, including Educational Management and Team Management, with a proven ability to supervise, mentor, and evaluate teaching staff.
• Expertise in Curriculum Development and Education, with experience implementing or overseeing British or international curricula.
• Strong Communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Relevant academic qualifications, such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Education or a related field; additional leadership or teaching certifications are an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience in school administration, academic planning, and quality assurance, preferably in a British or international school setting.
• Ability to foster an inclusive, learner-centered environment and to promote continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
• High level of organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with readiness to work on-site and collaborate closely with the school community.
