Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled SMS Technical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background with a focus on SMS systems and infrastructure. The SMS Technical Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining the SMS platform, ensuring its availability, reliability, and performance. They will also provide technical support to clients, resolve any issues related to SMS services, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and optimize SMS infrastructure.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Create, monitor and analyze SMS system performance, identify and resolve any issues, and implement necessary improvements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to SMS services, including message delivery failures, network connectivity issues, and software glitches.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, network engineers, and customer support, to resolve technical challenges and enhance the SMS platform.
• Conduct regular system audits to identify potential vulnerabilities or performance bottlenecks and implement necessary security measures and optimizations.
• Provide technical support to clients, addressing their queries, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Experience building end-to-end systems as a Platform Engineer, ML DevOps Engineer
• Follow up technical issues with accounts
• Experience building custom integrations between cloud-based systems using APIs
• Experience developing and maintaining ML systems built with open source tools
• Perform tasks on the existing platforms: including routing, troubleshooting, upgrades, Hardware installation, alarms, capacity
• Carrier Definition and CDR mapping in Billing System
• On site switch installation
• 2nd Level troubleshooting by Analysing protocol messages (SMTP,SS7,SIP,) and resolving problems
• Update informative documents
• Follow the procedures specified for the service activities
• Follow up problems and RMAs, and resolve them.
• Provide level 2 support, solutions or workarounds to problems on the service
• Document technical procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to facilitate knowledge sharing and improve the efficiency of technical support.
• Perform any other task of the same nature that is required by the management

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer and Communications Engineering from a reputable university.
• Familiarity with SMS gateway platforms, routing, and messaging protocols.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or C++, and experience with API integrations.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols and concepts, including TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and firewall configurations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work in shifts and provide on-call support when required.
• 2-3 years of experience in the software industry, in SMS in particular
• Have good communication skills.
