Position: Estimation Supervisor - Civil

Report to: Estimation Department Manager

Department & Section: Estimation Department

Job Location: Head Office - Dammam

Job Purpose:

The Estimation Supervisor will lead and oversee our estimation team, ensuring accurate and timely cost estimates for projects. This role is crucial in guiding the team to produce competitive and comprehensive bids that align with client requirements and company profitability goals. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong leadership skills to mentor the team, streamline estimation processes, and contribute to the success and growth of our company's project portfolio.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement estimation strategies, processes, and best practices to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
2. Oversee the preparation and submission of accurate and timely cost estimates for construction projects.
3. Review and validate bid proposals to ensure competitiveness and alignment with client requirements.
4. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to understand project scopes and requirements.
5. Analyze project data and historical costs to inform future estimates and cost-saving opportunities.
6. Stay updated on industry trends and cost factors to enhance estimation accuracy and competitiveness.
7. Coordinate with procurement and finance teams to align estimates with budgetary constraints and financial goals.
8. Monitor and report on estimation team performance, identifying areas for improvement and training needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• 12+ years of experience in Estimation, including 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Experienced in the Construction field, specifically in EPC & contractor companies (not consultancy).
• Previous working experience in KSA is required.
• Must be currently working in the Tendering/Estimation Department at Head Office.
• Strong command of the English language.
• Experience dealing with prestigious clients such as NEOM, Diriyah, RCRC, Qiddiyah, Royal Commission, Ministry of Transport, and Ministry of Defense is highly preferred.

Technical Requirements / Mandatory

• Must have submitted main tenders as a Main Contractor.
• Must have experience submitting tenders with a minimum value of SAR 100M as Main Contractor.
• Must be proficient in cost breakdown preparation including productivity and man-hour calculations.
• Must be able to calculate indirect costs.
• Must be familiar with top sheets for tendering and estimation purposes.
