Job Purpose:
To execute testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and energization activities for High Voltage (HV) substations, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, client requirements, and international industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform testing and commissioning of HV/EHV substations (13.8kV to 380kV)
- Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for
- Power Transformer
- GIS/AIS Switchgear
- Circuit Breaker
- Disconnectors and Earthing Switches
- Current Transformers (CTs)
- Voltage Transformers (VTs/CVTs)
- Protection & Control Panel
- SCADA and Communication System
- Carry out protection relay testing and configuration
- Perform secondary injection and primary injection tests
- Execute transformer testing including TTR, winding resistance, insulation resistance, and functional tests
- Verify interlocks, control logic, and protection schemes
- Support energization and synchronization activities
- Troubleshoot equipment and system issues during commissioning
- Prepare commissioning procedures, test reports, and punch lists
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project teams during commissioning activities
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and quality requirements
- Prepare daily, weekly, and final commissioning reports
.Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in HV Substation Testing & Commissioning
- Experience in AIS/GIS substations up to 132kV/220kV/380kV
