Role Description

The Senior Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements, reconciling accounts, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations (including ZATCA VAT/Zakat requirements). The role also involves budgeting and forecasting support, cash flow monitoring, and providing financial analysis and recommendations to management. The Senior Accountant will collaborate with internal teams to resolve financial issues, improve processes, and ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, general ledger management, and preparation of financial statements

• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow management

• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as MS Excel and other analytical tools

• Understanding of relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements in Saudi Arabia (ZATCA, VAT, Zakat)

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills

• Effective communication skills (Arabic and English) and ability to work collaboratively across teams

• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain high accuracy

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (CPA, CMA, SOCPA, or equivalent) is an advantage

• Previous experience in a senior or lead accounting role, ideally within construction,
