Role Description The AI Ethics / Responsible AI Specialist is a contract, on-site role based in Riyadh. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining ethical frameworks, guidelines, and governance processes for AI and data-driven solutions. Day-to-day tasks include assessing AI systems for fairness, transparency, privacy, and accountability, conducting risk and impact assessments, and advising product and engineering teams on ethical design and implementation. The Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to integrate responsible AI practices into project lifecycles, support compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, and contribute to training and awareness initiatives on AI ethics for internal teams and clients. The role also involves monitoring emerging trends in AI ethics, documenting best practices, and preparing reports and recommendations for leadership and partners.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in AI, Machine Learning, and data-driven systems, with the ability to understand technical architectures and model behavior.
• Demonstrated experience in AI ethics, Responsible AI, or technology governance, including work on fairness, transparency, privacy, and bias mitigation.
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks, standards, and guidelines (e.g., data protection laws, AI governance frameworks, industry best practices).
• Experience conducting ethical risk assessments, impact analyses, or audits of digital and AI solutions in enterprise or public-sector environments.
• Excellent analytical, research, and documentation skills, with the ability to translate complex ethical and technical concepts into clear guidance and policies.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including the ability to work with product, engineering, legal, compliance, and business teams.
• Background in fields such as computer science, data science, philosophy/ethics, law, public policy, or a related discipline; advanced degree is an advantage.
• Experience with or interest in Microsoft technologies and cloud platforms is beneficial, given the company’s partnership ecosystem.
• Ability to work on-site in Riyadh, collaborate in a multicultural environment, and manage responsibilities in a contract-based engagement.
• Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent; Responsible AI and SDAIA framework training.
• Responsible AI training or certification and familiarity with the SDAIA framework.
