Role Description This full-time, on-site Biomedical Engineer role is based in Jiddah and supports the development, maintenance, and optimization of medical equipment and related technologies within ATOM BC’s projects and initiatives. The Biomedical Engineer will perform day-to-day tasks including installing, calibrating, and maintaining medical devices, conducting preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting technical issues to ensure equipment safety and reliability. The role involves collaborating with clinical and academic teams, documenting maintenance activities, and contributing to the design or improvement of biomedical systems used in educational and research settings. The engineer will also help train students on equipment use, support project development, and participate in continuous improvement efforts aligned with ATOM BC’s mission and goals.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Biomedical Engineering and Clinical Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to medical and healthcare environments.
• Hands-on experience with Medical Equipment and Equipment Maintenance, including installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Proficiency in Preventive Maintenance practices to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operation of biomedical devices.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Knowledge of relevant healthcare standards, safety regulations, and equipment documentation requirements.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with students, clinicians, and technical staff.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality and continuous learning.
• Previous experience in educational, research, or clinical environments and familiarity with project-based work is an advantage.
