Job Summary
Qualified Lifting Inspector to join our inspection team as a Mechanical/Lifting Equipment Inspector. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, examination, certification, and reporting of lifting equipment and lifting accessories in accordance with international standards, client requirements, and applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of lifting accessories, including:
- Wire rope slings
- Chain slings
- Synthetic web slings
- Shackles
- Hooks
- Eyebolts
- Lifting beams
- Below-the-hook lifting devices
- Perform visual inspections, dimensional checks, and non-destructive examinations where applicable.
- Assess equipment condition and identify defects, wear, deformation, corrosion, and damage.
- Prepare inspection reports and certificates.
- Verify compliance with relevant international standards and client requirements.
- Maintain inspection records and calibration status of inspection tools.
- Support audits and client inspections.
- Promote and maintain a high standard of safety during all inspection activities.
- Liaise with clients regarding inspection findings and corrective actions.
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Valid LEEA Foundation Course (FOU) certification.
- Valid LEEA Lifting Accessories Examiner (LAC) certification
- ASNT or equivalent certification in MT, PT and VT
- Strong knowledge of lifting equipment inspection standards, including LOLER, PUWER, BS, EN, ISO, and relevant Saudi regulations.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in lifting equipment inspection (or as required by the employer).
- Valid driving license preferred.
- Good English communication and report-writing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional LEEA qualifications such as LTM, LMM,MOC or advanced examiner certifications.
- Experience with cranes, hoists, offshore lifting equipment, and load testing activities.
- Knowledge of Saudi Aramco, SABIC, SEC, or major industrial client requirements.
- Transferable IQAMA preferred
