Role Description The KG Homeroom Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based in the Eastern Region, responsible for leading a kindergarten classroom and providing a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. Daily responsibilities include planning and delivering age-appropriate lessons aligned with the American curriculum and CCSS, integrating play-based and inquiry-based learning, and supporting early literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development. The teacher will assess student progress through observations and formative assessments, maintain accurate records, and communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student growth and classroom activities. The role involves collaborating with other teachers and school leadership, participating in professional development, and contributing to school events and initiatives. The KG Homeroom Teacher is also expected to model respect for Islamic and local cultural values while fostering international mindedness and positive classroom behavior.

Qualifications

• Strong instructional skills in early childhood education, including lesson planning, classroom management, and assessment for learning.
• Ability to deliver content in English at a professional level, with clear communication and age-appropriate vocabulary for young learners.
• Experience creating nurturing, inclusive classroom environments that support social-emotional development and positive behavior.
• Demonstrated capacity to collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student learning and school improvement.
• Respectful understanding of Islamic values and local culture, with the ability to integrate these into classroom routines and school life.
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field; relevant teaching certification is preferred.
• Prior experience as a KG or early years homeroom teacher in an international or bilingual school is highly beneficial.
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth, openness to feedback, and willingness to participate in training and curriculum development.
